Kris Lofgren previously worked at The Washington Quarterly, the policy journal of the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington, D.C., where he conducted research in a variety of international policy areas for upcoming TWQ issues.

During the summer of 2004, he worked at the Foreign Service Journal in Washington, D.C. where he wrote short articles, assisted in copyediting, and researched future FSJ topics. The previous summer he worked on Rep. Dick Gephardt's presidential campaign.

He is a 2005 graduate of Kenyon College in Gambier, OH. He graduated with a major in Political Science, a minor in Classics, and a concentration in Public Policy. He spent the 2003 fall semester studying politics and economics at Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Turkey.

He was the Vice President of the Kenyon College Student Democrats, a member of the Appalachian Service Organization and an occasional contributor to several Kenyon publications.

He has been blogging since May 2002. He is originally from Oak Park, IL, where he attended OPRFHS. He currently lives in the Washington, D.C. area.
